Campaign Rally – We want “Better 4 All!”
Join the Douglas County Activism Task Force for a campaign rally on the sidewalks of Lone Tree on Saturday, October 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. This rally is an alternative to the No Kings protest planned for October 17, so the Task Force can focus on supporting our candidates and recruiting volunteers for get-out-the-vote efforts. Participants of all ages are invited to wave candidate signs and signs highlighting shared priorities, such as more affordable groceries and gas and greater transparency.
Volunteers Needed!
Help us turn interest into action. Volunteers are needed to make phone calls, send text messages and postcards, and knock on doors. We have seasoned volunteers ready to show you how you can help. If you have expressed an interest in volunteering, but not yet connected with a volunteer coordinator this election season, email me (1stViceChair@dougcodems.org) and I will introduce you to someone nearby who can help you get started. Every campaign can use your support. Volunteering is a great way to contribute in a constructive manner and help save our democracy.
The Anti-Misinformation League
Misinformation reaches us through many channels, especially social media. Our dedicated team of content creators and contributors identifies inaccurate or misleading posts and discourages people from liking or reposting them. To support this effort, click the link to learn more.
No Kings - Vote Early – Parker
Join the national No Kings organization for a rally at O’Brien Park in downtown Parker on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. This nonpartisan event will encourage passersby to vote early, and organizers ask participants to keep all messaging positive. Register through the Mobilize network:
If you see ICE activity in your neighborhood, call CORRN
Several members of our group are trained “Confirmers” with the Colorado Rapid Response Network. We respond to reported ICE activity in our communities and assist people whose loved ones have been taken into custody following an interaction with ICE. If you observe a sudden gathering of black SUVs and individuals in military-style clothing, call CORRN at 844-864-8341.
