About the Event

Join us as we welcome guest speaker Luis Ponce, Strategic Campaign and Research Director with SEIU Local 105 (a member union of the AFL CIO), for an important presentation and discussion on the power of unions in improving living standards, winning elections and in the fight back against Trump and authoritarianism. With Donald Trump and Elon Musk attacking workers’ rights, we need to fight back and strengthen them here in Colorado. We’ll talk about the Worker Protection Act, what’s happening with it, and how we can pass it.

In addition, Angela Thomas will discuss the importance of the community-led petition to expand the Douglas County Board of Commissioners from 3 members to 5. Increasing the number of commissioners would create broader representation, improve accountability, and ensure more voices from across Douglas County are included in local decision-making.

POs and POAs are encouraged to attend and learn how you can help…
