HD43 Outreach: Building Civic Connection

At HD43 Outreach, our mission is to educate and empower the community by sharing valuable insights on the issues that impact daily life in Douglas County. We aim to be a trusted resource for those seeking guidance on civic responsibility, helping residents navigate how local government works and why it matters.

Thank You, HD43 and Douglas County!

The citizens of Highlands Ranch and Douglas County have spoken loudly and clearly: we demand accountable and transparent government. On June 24th, over 70% of voters rejected the Board of County Commissioners' attempt to re-write our county government through a rushed and misguided Home Rule Charter.

While this was a countywide effort, we want to give a special shoutout to the folks in Highlands Ranch who were on the front lines—knocking doors, making calls, donating, and spreading the word on social media.

There aren’t many moments when we can say, “Our work changed the trajectory of our county’s future,” but this is one of them. Thank you for standing up for democracy and our community.

Stop the Power Grab Campaign Manager and At-Large Candidate Angela Thomas and District 2 Candidate and South Metro Fire Board Director Kevin Leung review Home Rule election results on June 24th.

Fourth of July Parade with the Douglas County Democrats

The Douglas County Democrats once again showed up in full force for the Highlands Ranch Fourth of July Parade!

Over forty proud Democrats walked together, celebrating our country and showing the community that Democrats are here, active, and committed to serving everyone in Douglas County.

This annual tradition isn’t just about waving flags—it’s a powerful opportunity to connect with neighbors, celebrate democracy, and remind folks that we are working hard to create a county that reflects our shared values.
